Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre

Decided to end my stay in NZ, with a visit to the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre to partake in Sir Peter Jackson’s Knights of the Sky – Great War Exhibition.
No expense was spared to restore these beautiful machines to their original glory.

Flight Lesson@ Kaikoura Aero Club Airport, NZ

Heavy rains, flooding and road closures cancelled my much anticipated helihike to the Franz Glacier (West Coast, NZ).
In leui of helihiking, I packed up and travelled northeast along the coast to Kaikoura Airport to meet up with a flight instructor, Matt Eastman.
Turned out to be a beautiful day for a flying lesson along the northeast coast of NZ.
Thanks, Matt! A great alternative to my helihike.
